What SchoolPTA is
SchoolPTA is a software-as-a-service platform that hosts websites for elementary school Parent-Teacher Associations. Each school is a separate tenant on its own subdomain. The platform is operated by ChAImp.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old, and the account you sign in with must be your own. PTA administrators must be appointed by the school's PTA board or equivalent authority.
Acceptable use
- Provide accurate sign-up information.
- Do not harass other families, post content that violates school district policy, or upload anything illegal.
- Do not attempt to access another school's tenant data, probe the platform for vulnerabilities, or circumvent authentication.
- Do not use the platform to send unsolicited bulk email ("spam"). Communications to volunteer rosters must be relevant to the event volunteers signed up for.
We can suspend or remove accounts and content that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of any text, photos, or other content you post. By posting, you grant SchoolPTA a license to display and distribute that content as necessary to operate the site. You confirm you have the right to post anything you upload (including photos of other families).
School PTA responsibilities
Each school's PTA admins are responsible for the content published on their tenant, the accuracy of event information, volunteer roster management, and complying with their own school district's policies (background checks, photo permissions, etc).
Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Using SchoolPTA means you accept that policy.
No warranty
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Use the site at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, SchoolPTA, ChAImp, and their contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Termination
You can stop using the platform at any time and request account deletion via support@schoolpta.org. We may also terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms over time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current revision. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
