Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free quarter requires no payment information at all. You only enter card details when you choose to continue on a paid plan.
What does free migration include?
Pro plan and above includes free migration of your current year's events, programs, board page, sponsor logos, and news posts — from OurSchoolPages, Weebly, WordPress, or Google Sites. Historical content beyond the current school year is available as a paid add-on. We'll have your new site live within 5 business days.
What is TechSoup and why does it matter?
TechSoup is a nonprofit that helps qualifying organizations access free or heavily discounted software. As a registered PTA or PTO you likely qualify for Microsoft 365 for Nonprofits (10 free user accounts, normally $720/year), Google Workspace for Nonprofits, Canva Pro, and more. Partner and Managed plans include the full setup — we handle the application and configuration so you don't have to.
Can we bring our own domain?
Yes — on Pro and above you can connect your existing domain (yourpta.org) or we'll help you register one. On Free and Core you get yourschool.schoolpta.org from day one.
Is SchoolPTA only for elementary schools?
No — it works for any PTA or PTO at any grade level. Elementary, middle, and high school all supported.
How is this different from our school district website?
Your district website is managed by the district. SchoolPTA is your PTA's independent platform — you control the content, events, and volunteer coordination without going through district IT.
